I suggest you ...

Add field "Estimate" per task

I would like to be able to specify an (optional) estimate to a task so that I can compare it with my actual effort. A report should show the difference (actual - estimate) for those tasks that have estimates.

+1 for this. My schedule is created by project managers and we have a set number of hours we are allotted for tasks. I'd love to be able to enter this number into a tag and be alerted if I approach it.

i agree - if not "estimate" then "goals" - the time you're hoping to spend on something to be able to compare to actual time spent.

it would be great if this could then be connected to a calendar such as google calendar. The estimates come from the calendar and then can be compared with actual. (A calendar is always an estimate of what one is going to do with time anyway.) One would have to name the tasks on the calendar identically to tasks on slimtimer.

I like this idea to allow estimates to be entered for two reasons. 1) Review plan v. actual. 2) When coupled with option to have SlimTimer alert me (tray alert?) to ask "are you still working on this?". Think the option to alert me would help to keep me honest and reduce maintenance/cleanup after the fact.

I want to record estimate time and real time.
I make always task with estimate time.
However slimetimer do not have estimate time field.
I' m very sad...because concept of slimetimer is very good...
