  2. Add Tags to all Entries in a Report

    I would like to be able to add a "Billed" tag to entries when I generate an invoice. This way I can run a report excluding all "Billed" entries to make sure I don't double bill someone.

    I can think of other uses too but the example above solves two problems.

  3. Tasks should be recurring, not just complete or incomplete

    It seems like when I "check" and then un-check a task within the OpenTimer window the task is marked completed and is not visible until I mark the task incomplete. I would like to re-use this task later in the day or perhaps the next day.

  4. allow clock to run after closing timer window

    If I'm working on a task and I have to restart my computer, that will "stop" a clock for a current project. That may not be true in what I'm doing. Provide an option to let me say "keep clock running" yet close the timer window.

  5. Run multiple timers at once

    Sometimes I need to record time for two clients at the same time (e.g. doing a background data processing job on my server for one, while on the phone to another client).

  6. start time can't be blank

    When editing entries to create time entries it would be nice if I could just put in a duration and not include start time and end time. This would allow me to keep track of my start/stop times "offline" then add them all up and have one entry per day per task/project specifying the total time worked for that task/project.

  7. ..to have cut/copy/paste for time entries.

    Sometimes I put in time entries under the wrong date. Once I notice, I have to remove and recreate each task. It would be nice cut and paste entries to another day. It would also be good to duplicate entries.

  9. show percentage of time on each task

    I'm using SlimTimer simply to track where I spend my time, in order to raise awareness of what my day-to-day tasks entail to my PM. I would really like a report that lists my dozen or so tasks with a percentage next to each one, sorted in descending order; dev: 5%, test: 25%, meetings 70% :D

    Finding completed tasks after months of using Slimtimer heavily is difficult. A search function on title and tags would be extremely helpful.

  11. Rounded times properly sum to the total

    The reports display times rounded to a certain number of decimal places. This inevitably introduces imprecision in the total. The major problem is that these rounded values do not sum to the total displayed on the report! The sum of the entries is always more than the total displayed. You can see this if you export to a csv file, then total the column yourself.

    The reports should either display more accurate values so it totals properly to the value calculated, or total the sum of the rounded values, regardless of the underlying values.

    The problem is that unless we show seconds as well as minutes on the reports have to round to the nearest minute. The alternative, to make the total the sum of the rounded cells, leads to a much more insidious problem where your totals will be incorrect and vary depending on the type of report your run.

    Let’s say you ran a report for last month by task. There were 5 tasks and the total, the sum of those 5 rows, was 100. Now let’s say your re-run that report but this time by entry which produces 200 rows. Odds are that your total will now be greater than 100 as you’re introducing more rounding error with every row added together.

  12. Chrome Extension to manage/start/stop tasks

    A chrome extension that would just add a button to the toolbar from which you can list your tasks and start/stop them would be wonderful. This app is great!

  13. Show subtotals for each day (or group by day) in report

    The Invoice report currently groups by DESCRIPTION (doesn't even show the date at all!), but some clients would prefer an invoice grouped by DAY, showing for each day: total hours worked + a list of all the the things done on that day (the comments for each entry falling on that day, and perhaps the tags).

  14. Merge tasks in dayview

    Sometimes I wanted to merge consecutive and equal tasks.
    Til now I had to adjust one of them and delete the other.

  15. Import from Google Calendar

    This would allow me to import activities that are planned and fixed without having to re-enter them. For example, a weekly meeting I have with the same client. Or a class that I teach. It would be easier to edit them after than have to somehow enter them on my Iphone on the go, or have to input them individually. This would help with the planned time versus actual time comparison as well.

  16. Clickable tasks in reports

    I often run a report and then see -- oops, forgot to tag that item. Instead of then going over to manage tasks and finding the item in the long long list, it would be great if the tasks were simply clickable or had an edit link nearby to edit them directly from the report.

  17. CREATE A BLACKBERRY APP

    I love Slimtimer but use it a ton on the road and have to edit entries to manually update. I would love a blackberry app that would allow me to track time while on the road!

  19. edit entries - Create New - provide listbox to select a task

    When I edit an entry for a day it would be great if the application would present me with a listbox of the available tasks that have been predefined instead of making me create a new task and assign the appropriate tags to the task.

  20. add tag(s) to multiple tasks at once

    for example, I've just invoiced many tasks and now need to mark them with "billed" so as not to double bill them, come next billing. I currently have to edit each task individually and hope I don't miss one... it'd be even lovelier if this could be done from the reporting section, but even just being able to do em all at once from edit tasks would be great.
