I could also make sharing tasks easier -- just share out all tasks in a project to the same set of users. Reporting, likewise, could see some simplification with the addition of project-based organization.

sm said:

been using slimtimer for long time now, but it appears as if this is more or less dead with no new developments? As an alternative I found toggl which provides all these features that have been suggested for years.

tag:feedback.slimtimer.com,2008-02-07:Event/26503632010-08-17T09:48:43+00:002010-08-17T09:48:43+00:00export to ical or outlook automatically [updated]
This feature shouldn't be so hard to implement and would definitely get the attention of many people. By just adding the alternative of an internet calendar link (ical), or the option of exporting the outlook entries, people can visualize how they used their time in different platforms such as google calendar, outlook, or the mac calendar. It also brings the alternative of syncing with pocket pc
and other devices instead of having to download a csv.

Anonymous said:

It would be great to implement this feature, right now I do it manually: CSV export, some easy modifications via Excel and then back to CSV to import into gCal

tag:feedback.slimtimer.com,2008-02-07:Event/26482872010-08-17T02:17:41+00:002010-08-17T02:17:41+00:00Make it possible to pause a task [updated]
Sometimes when I'm in then middle of a task I get a phone call which I time as well. After this phone call I would like to be able to pick one of the previous tasks and continue that one without having to enter the tag and the comment again.

Malka said:

This would be great- making it possible to pause a job.
Otherwise, thanks for a great program!

tag:feedback.slimtimer.com,2008-02-07:Event/26446332010-08-16T18:14:33+00:002010-08-16T18:14:33+00:00graphical interface for editing/reporting [updated]
I would like to have a GUI (similar to Google calendar) that I can add/view items in day/week/month view. This way, I can much more easily view the whole report. Also, this way is much easier to edit items (by simply clicking to ender, drag to change time, etc.)

jbunch said:

Agreed on graphical interface: "What was I doing last Wednesday from 2:33 to 3:47? Oh, I had started that next task but hadn't started the timer. I'll just drag the start handle of that task up to the end of the previous task." Or: "That bar for Task A is huge. There's no way I spent that much time on it. Oh, again, I forgot to start the timer on Task B until an hour into it. I'll just grab the handle between the tasks to shrink A and grow B."

It could get fancier, like snapping to increments (five minutes, fifteen, etc.), allowing overlapping, rearranging (I'll sometimes add a task from the timer at the end of the day with a note that I did the work that morning, then go back and edit it later), etc.

Even though the main draw of Slimtimer is its simplicity, I don't think this would make it any more difficult to use. Or, it could be an add-on?

tag:feedback.slimtimer.com,2008-02-07:Event/26442112010-08-16T17:35:51+00:002010-08-16T17:35:51+00:00Fix double-"Enter" in Edit hides entry
jbunch suggested:
When editing entries I frequently change the duration and hit the Enter key to commit. I only recently noticed that if I hit Enter twice then the entry disappears (At first I thought the entry was being deleted so I re-added it. Now, ironically, I have to delete the duplicate entries). In testing, I find this happens in all the fields but Comments (because Enter doesn't commit) and Cancel. This happens in Firefox and Chrome.
