Unfortunately it will likely not see the light of day. This feature has been "planned" for many years now. The author has moved on.

    Zachary Kent commented  ·

I have gotten around this by making a task called "personal", I click it when I have to step out for something non-billable. I put a note in the entry of what I was doing. I tag my tasks based on client so I can run report on a client tag and the personal entries are ignored but maintained for tracking.

My wife is an attorney in they are required by the state bar to bill in 1/10s of an hour (6 minute increments). So she has a system of what most things "cost" the client. 2/10th is a typical phone call, 1/10th if she gets answering machine and leaves a message, etc. I thought you were referring to something similar.

    Zachary Kent commented  ·

Applemcg, are you an attorney by any chance? 2/10's for a phone call...1/10 for leaving a message....

I'm sure many of your users are programmers -- I am. Need some help? :) Just sayin.

What is the ETA on this feature?

It works fine in Chrome. What is the issue you are having?

Yes! This would be a very nice features. I have to put in these fake time entries that contain "notes" and them out using tags in my reports.

When I type "1" and tab it changes to "1:00:00 am". It seems to assume military time, so if you enter 1 through 11, you get a.m. automatically. If you enter "13" you get "1:00:00 pm". I just type "1p" and ST changes it to "1:00:00 pm".

This what I see in all browsers on a PC. Seems like you are seeing something different.

    Zachary Kent commented  ·

When you enter the times, you can be very flexible. Try entering 115p or 1104a and ST gets it. You can even put 812a for start time and :30 for duration and ST fills in the end time for you. I use this feature a lot.

Also along these lines, if you have a task called "This" and one called "This and That", as soon as you finish typing "This", plain old "This" is no longer an option and leaves only the latter as a choice. I would call this a bug.

    Richard,

Can you update your blog with a "State of the Union" update? I has begun to appear that you have moved on and ST has been abandoned! If you are still in this, please let us know.

This is about to become a show stopper for me. I love slimtimer but am looking for alternatives I can live with because of the time involved in migrating data from slimtimer to FB. There are not great options in the FB add-on store for timers so if you could do this I think you would get some serious buyers, including myself.

I have had to get around this by using Deskpins to pin the timer window on top so that it is always visible. This works ok if you have 2 monitors or plenty of screen real estate.

Meon's Bubbles Module works great for this but Bubbles appears that it might be Abandonware at this point. I do suggest trying bubbles and Meon's module while it is still available.

For all of the reasons stated above, I would vote this one down if I could. There are probably windows timers out there that have this functionality. If this were implemented, it would really need to be an option and turned off by default. Otherwise it will frustrate users.
