it would be great if this could then be connected to a calendar such as google calendar. The estimates come from the calendar and then can be compared with actual. (A calendar is always an estimate of what one is going to do with time anyway.) One would have to name the tasks on the calendar identically to tasks on slimtimer.

I would prefer the opposite. I would like to be able to import some calendars from google calendar. For example, If in my calendar I have a particular calendar that accurately states what meetings I went to, then I could import it into slimtimer and have it add that time to the tasks I already have. Instead of re-entering the time, or having to use an iphone ap at meetings, I could just edit the info from the google calendar. This would also go well with the planned versus actual time other people were interested in.

Tags as a catch-all heirarchy solution started off as a good idea, but as the site as grown and I’ve learned more about SlimTimer user usage patterns I now see a place for “supertags” or explicitly defining concepts like Project and Billable v Non-billable tasks. I’ll have more on this soon.

It would be nice to be able to scroll through existing tags when entering them in. This way you don't inadvertently add new ones that are intended to be the same as existing ones. Thereby further increasing the long list
